Novel | Greek | 2014, Polaris editions, Greece
Synopsis
After a luxurious summer fostered by a family on vacations, young cat Marie-Chantal is back in the stray life. Unfortunately, the touristic village where she was born has turned into a ghost-town ahead of winter.
Persuaded of her domesticated nature, Marie-Chantal sets on an odyssey across the small, cycladic island in search of a human to adopt her, along with the rest of the strays of the village.
Surviving through the wilderness turns into a coming of age journey for Marie-Chantal, enjoying the thrills and the joys of a stray life. Thus when she finally finds the right human to adopt her, she is forced to question her true nature before surrendering to domestication.
